laken frost !!
Right now Laken did look a little suspicious. Sure it looked like he was hiding. No Laken was just wandering threw the woods on his own time, avoiding all sights of people. Okay actually Laken was hiding. However he kind of hoped that his black tshirt and his loose hanging jeans would blend in to the background and no one would notice him. There was a perfectly logical reason that one of the most terrifying guys in the school was lurking threw the woods hoping not to be caught.
Well there wasn’t any logic behind the so called logical reason. Honestly Laken didn’t even know why he did it in the first place. All Laken remembered was some stupid little fourth year mumbling something and hearing his name mentioned. Immediately Laken hexed the twerp but his little friends decided to fight back. Now there are about five fourth years in the infirmary nursing a variety of injuries from a black eye from Laken’s fist to antlers from his wand. Laken didn’t even check to see if the idiots were okay when he casually walked away from the pile of twerps, not that anyone had the guts to stop him.
Usually Laken excepted punishment, which was usually detention, and then blew it off. Sometimes it wasn’t on purpose because Laken’s memory wasn’t the greatest in the world. However Laken was known to skip detention almost the same amount as classes. So right now Laken was hiding from the teachers until he could sneak back into his dorm unnoticed. Settling down on a tree Laken stretched out his long legs and decided that he was well hidden, well that was until someone practically fell in his lap.
”What the f-ck!” Laken exclaimed angrily. Already ready to hex the idiot who decided to fall on him Laken held his wand tightly in his hand and glared at the person with his reddish brown eyes. Surely he looked some kind of evil with his wild dark hair and maroon colored eyes, but right now Laken didn’t care how evil he looked, right now he cared that some idiot had just discovered him and fell on him.

As nice weather as it was, Sky didn't quiet want to be outside. It was a little too sunny for her dour mood. And the sun was a little bit too bright for her to stand when she felt so annoyed. Why, you might ask, would she feel annoyed. Well, that question could be answered in one word: Nate. Oh, Natey boy. The one person that she found herself unable to talk to when she wanted to. He was inaccessible, and that made her want to see him all the more. As time went on, she realized that they weren't going to be seeing each other anymore. In fact, she had heard a rumor that he was dating someone new now. Someone who wasn't in their house. Surprised, depressed, and a little annoyed, Sky resolved to give up on him-- as difficult as that may be.
A messy head of dark hair caught her eye as she wandered around the grounds. The hair was headed towards the forest, and a tinge of curiousity propelled her in that very same direction. Gladly letting go of her previous painful thoughts, she began to follow that hair as it bobbed and weaved away towards the dusky forest. She nervously called out a weak hello, but automatically knew that the person hadn't heard her. She was far too quiet. Sighing, she decided to wander into the forest for one last look-- for curiosity's sake. No longer trying to call out to the person, she simply decided to walk, and see where that walking took her.
She was partway into the forest when suddenly she felt something snag her legs. Toppling over, she heard loudly in her left ear that was far to close to someone's head ”What the f-ck!” Turning her head, small frame still in the boy's lap, Sky's blue-green eyes appraised the person who had so loudly shouted. Without thinking, she answered him in slightly frigid tone-- certainly not in a good mood. "Nice to see you too." She made no move to get up, seeing as her damn ear was still ringing.

laken frost !!
It was a known fact that Laken Frost had a bad temper. Well obviously since he had just sent a bunch of fourth years to the infirmary because one of them said his name and laughed. That however was nothing compared to a few other things that he has done in the past. Needless to say Laken had a reputation for his anger management issues. So you would figure that right now he would be fuming and he was.
Now Laken did have the manners to not hit a girl, until given a good reason. Right now Laken was trying to decide if her falling on him was a good reason. By now his knuckles were turning white and his reddish eyes were dancing with anger. He wouldn’t hex the girl yet, or hit her for that matter. However the fact that he wasn’t going to hurt her didn’t mean he wasn’t still extremely annoyed that she fell on him.
”Get. Off. Of. Me.” Laken growled threw clenched teeth. There was no use in making a snarky comment back like she had just done. The girl looked familiar though, probably a desemblance like himself. However with Laken’s horrible memory it was lucky that he even realized that she was probably in his house, no actually it was lucky that he remembered his own house. Seriously the guy should see a doctor to fix his horrible memory, but there was no way that Laken was going there.

”Get. Off. Of. Me.” His tone, his posture, and the way that his fists were clenched made Sky get the impression that he was pretty damn pissed. Well, who gave a fuck. So was she. While she knew the boy to have a pretty bad temper, she also had one-- perhaps not one that would equal his-- but a bad one nonetheless. And probably it was her temper that spat the next two words out of her mouth. Oh, usually she was docile Sky. Only a few people were subject to her anger. And he was about to be, because of the way he was speaking to her. "Make me." She spoke simply, without excess anger in her voice. In fact, she might sound quite calm. But on the inside, her anger about Nate, about J.C., and about everything was nearly boiling over. And now this boy was going to test her? Oh, he was in for a surprise.
The pretty blonde girl waited for him to push her off. To hit her. To hex her. She just wanted an excuse to let out some of the built up tension, anger, and exasperation that had begun to completely overwhelm her. Oh sure, once that got out of the way, she would probably apologize. And he would probably not forgive her. But at the moment, she didn't care. All she wanted was an excuse to fight with someone. How un-Skylike. Guilt and embarrassment at her behaviour flitted across her mind, and perhaps a tiny drop in her resolve showed through in her glare towards the boy. She felt her lips relax from their cocky smirk to a frown, but tightened them back again. What would happen next?

laken frost !!
This girl was definitely pushing Laken’s buttons. It was like she was asking for him to start a fight. Well that just made Laken even madder. Taking a deep breath Laken glared at the girl wandering if it was a good idea to actually push her off of him. Like said Laken had manners but when it came to him being angry this girl was seriously making Laken less and less civilized by the second.
Debating between taking the bait and simply letting it go Laken continued glaring at the girl. The faltering smirk on her face made Laken decide to go for a more gentle approach because he realized that maybe she wasn’t as cocky as she made out to be at first. Still the way she said Make me seriously irked Laken. Taking another deep breath he easily picked the tiny girl up and put her on the ground next to him.
”There” Laken said, still obviously pissed off. Then Laken wandered how in the world the girl could have possibly found him. The likelihood of her actually having stumbled upon the same random spot in the large forest as him seemed extremely unlikely. Getting a little paranoid that she was a little snitch set out to turn him into a teacher Laken glared at her again with his demon like eyes. ”Did you follow me?” Laken snarled leaning against the tree still glaring at the girl.

Sky felt herself being picked up, and she squeaked a protest. Well, she had indeed asked for it. She had said the words, and he had carried out the deed. "Thank you, darling." What? That didn't make any sense. Why did she say it? Well, she did use many terms of endearment such as that, they were throwaway. Meaningless. But why thank him? Was it for not attacking her? Was it for not taking her bait and hexing her? She wasn't quite sure.
”Did you follow me?” What a loaded question. First words out of her mouth were the truth. "Yes I did." There was a strange combination of reluctance and stubbornness that even made her wonder what exactly he was thinking at the moment. He must think I'm crazy, she thought with pursed lips, arms slung across her chest in the usual display of displeasure. "Why do you care?" The blonde knew that he probably cared because he liked privacy. Or at least that's what she would have said. "It was a whim, nothing more. No need to get all freaked out." Eek, why was all the bitterness and spite slowly leaving her words. She opted for a more chilling glare to offset the sudden weakness in her tone.

laken frost !!
Okay all Laken did was do what she said. So there was no need for her to get an attitude when he picked her up. At least he didn’t hex her or shove her like a jerk. Sure Laken had his anger issues but he did make an attempt to have some sort of manners. Hitting or hexing girls just wasn’t acceptable, except if they really, really deserved it or just caught him in a bad mood.
Really Laken didn’t care if she followed her for no reason at all, but he was worried that she was a little snitch. Sure Laken was a usual in detention but he really didn’t feel like going today. Even if he skipped he would get detention for skipping and then skipping that one. So it was better off just trying not to get caught in general. That being said Laken thought his reason for being angry was valid. Who wanted to go to detention?
Anyway she had said that she had, that irked him somewhat and he glared at her again. Then she asked why he cared. Seriously? Of course he cared why he was being followed. Shaking his head and running his hand threw his wild dark hair Laken sighed and wandered if she was the snitching type. ”I’m hiding for a reason,” Laken told her blankly.
When she added that it was “on a whim” Laken rolled his eyes. Nothing was ever on a whim, there was always a reason and “a whim” was never a good one. Don’t ask Laken how he knew this because well from past expierence when he heard it was on a whim or that someone didn’t know why they did it usually there was a damn good reason. ”Whatever.” Laken mumbled and looked away from the girl. ”Who are you anyway?” Laken growled. Laken was never good with names so it was really nothing personal.

Even as she said those challenging words, she felt her own anger ebb away... and it left her with an empty feeling of embarrassment. What would her friend Vivenne say? That girl was all fierceness, never back down type. Well, Viv wasn't quite friends with Sky. Their personalities were far too similar. Viv wouldn't be backing down like Sky was doing at the moment. The other boy with the crazy hair spoke again, and the pretty girl leveled her bright blue eyes on him, twisted a strand of blonde hair around with her fingertips- a nervous action. ”I’m hiding for a reason,” She glanced at him, with real curiousity in her eyes. "Why are you hiding?" DAMMIT! She had forgotten to add some anger to her tone, and now all her annoyance was for naught. Dammit, dammit, dammit.
Furrowing her brows, she tried to cover up her mistake. "Not that I care, actually," the girl said offhandedly.
He asked her name, and she shrugged. She had met the boy previously probably, and had probably introduced herself and he introduced himself-- but apparently neither remembered the other's name. "Skylar," Her blue eyes watched the other, wondering if her name would be familar. And when no recognition showed up, she was strangely relieved. At least he wouldn't think she had weird psycho mood swings, because usually she was Ms. Positive and Happy. "Sky, actually. I don't go by my full name..." She made a face, then smiled. Oops, another slip up. Wow, Sky sucked at this staying angry thing. Letting her face fall to a bored expression, she arched a brow. "What's yours?"

laken frost !!
Okay maybe Laken shouldn’t have admitted that he was hiding. Obviously it sprung a lot of questions, one being why he was hiding. It was an easy question to answer, all Laken had to do was direct the girl to the hallway the fight took place and the answer would be right out in the open. However Laken still wasn’t sure if this girl was a tattle tale or not, so Laken wasn’t too sure whether or not he could tell her the reason he was hiding. Maybe a nice vague answer would suffice.
”I got in a… fight,” Laken said and diverted his eyes from hers. His answer was the truth but there was still the fact that he was hiding the main details. Actually Laken didn’t even know the condition of the little fourth years he hexed. Hopefully he didn’t hurt them too bad, not that Laken cared about them Laken cared how severe his punishment would be. Yeah its cold hearted but like Laken cared about that, he figured it ran in the family no matter how much he didn’t like the family gene pool.
Well at least the girl was putting off that she didn’t care why he was hiding. That probably meant that she wasn’t going to snitch or that she was acting like she didn’t care so she could run off and claim the reward for turning him in. Either way Laken wasn’t set on trusting this girl just yet.
When Laken heard her name, Sky, it kind of rang a bell. She was definitely in his house, that was for sure. However Laken wasn’t sure if he had ever talked to her before. Laken’s memory was horrible, so there wasn’t a doubt that he could’ve talked to her in the past and not remember her name or face. ”I’m Laken,” Laken told her, not in a growl this time but in something that resembled a friendly tone, but not really. There was no need to mention his last name because well that was a whole other story.

"Laken?" She mulled his name over in her mind, sensing it's familiarity. "I think Sarena's mentioned you before-- are you in her year?" Yes, Sky's best friend had certainly mentioned this boy previously. So that was probably why the pretty blonde found his name familiar. Sky hadn't seen Rena in a while, she needed to call her or something. It was a shame that the two were in different years. But then again, at least sky had something to blame her off and on immaturity on. Rena had at least a year on her, thus Sky was more immature at times. But then again, Sky felt as though she had more common sense sometimes, but it really depended on the day. Today, for example, she obviously had no common sense. For godsakes, she had tried to start a fight with this guy whom she had never met before! Certainly she had compromised her reputation. At times, Sky envied Rena. Her friend seemed to know what exactly to say at every given situation. Sky grasped at words, found them, and just when she was about to speak them, they flew away.
Bringing herself back to the present, the blonde fixed her blue eyes on him. Quirking a brow at the boy, she offered a sweet smile. "A fight? You don't look too banged up, so I'm assuming you won?"

laken frost !!
Okay so Laken was sure he had met someone named Serena. However it wasn’t something that Laken saw as notable so it was kind of fuzzy. Laken knew she was a Dissemblance and that she was in detention with him, that was pretty much it. So when Sky asked if he knew Serena and if he was in the same grade as her he hesitated before answering the question. One he didn’t know what grade she was in, two Laken barely remembered her, and three well Laken didn’t like nosy people. ”I had detention with her,” Laken said lazily while resting his head against the tree behind him. ”And I’m a seventh year,” Laken added.
However Laken wasn’t sure if it was the fact that Serena had mentioned him or his infamous family background. Sure there were some people that didn’t know his father was in Azkaban for being a murderer. However the ones that did stayed away from him, so Laken was pretty sure that if Sky had known about Laken’s father then she would either be running away from him or she just had no idea.
Well obviously Sky was right, about the fight that is. Laken didn’t lose fights and if he ever did there was always the rematch that he won. Besides the little fourth years didn’t even have a chance. Not that Laken had really given them one, but they were asking for it in Laken’s opinion.
”Yeah a fight,” Laken said with a roll of his reddish eyes. ”That’s what I said right?” Yeah Laken knew she was just curious or something but Laken interpreted that as being nosy and Laken didn’t like it when people tried to get information out of him. ”And of course I won,” Laken added with a snort.
