Cam hummed softly to himself an unidentified melody as he walked his way through the halls. It was sometime in the early morning, about 6 or something and he was one of the few people awake that early...on a Saturday. He brushed back some hair that had fallen into his eyes and tugged at the sleeve of his white and blue button shirt, covering a scar that gleamed two shades paler than his naturally tanned skin tone.
Cam flinched faintly at the sight of it, a jagged mark about half an inch thick from when he was younger. He distinctly remember the explosion and the cutting procelain. It was funny how he still liked explosions, even though it was an explosion that resulted in his current fear of fire and burning alive. Of course, only his brother and close friends knew that. He blinked when there was a soft purr and he resisted the urge to smile as his lower back warmed softly; his magical tiger tatoo moving slightly across his skin. Cam brought a hand to the small of his back, resisting a laugh when he felt the tiger move to his touch. It tickled.
Shaking his head, Cam made his way though the halls and out into the cold, slight frost covered gardens. Besides the occasional animal or magical plant, the gardens were usually empty this early in the mornings. Taking in a deep breath of the cold, november air, Cam stood, taking in the sights and sounds as the sun began to peek over the tops of the trees, casting everything into a faint golden glow. Cam grinned.
This...this is why he always got up so friggin early.

Ehren yawned softly, rubbing his eyes as he dragged his not willing body out of bed. It was too early, and yet, he was awake. If he had a choice, he would never, ever, be up this early on a Saturday. He made his way blearily towards the bathroom, mentally clapping as he managed to dodge all obsticales in his way towards his destination. It took almost half an hour, coupled with falling asleep at the sink, slipping in the bathroom, missing the toothbrush with his toothpaste, Ehren was finally out of the Luminosity dorms.
He yawned behind his hand as he marched out into the halls. Ehren figured that his hair was fluffy and sticking up in funky places but he wasn't going to care. Ehren figured that besides his little brother and himself, no one was crazy enough to be up on a Saturaday...at 6 in the morning. The Luminosity student tugged at his tie and scarf, burying his nose into the fabric and entered the frost covered gardens. Besides the cold, the nipping air, he noticed Cam right away.
"Why...are you always out here so damn early?" Ehren asked, yawning partway through. He sighed softly when the faint warmth of the rising sun stuck him. It was cold. And the few moments it took for the sun to fully rise was the coldest part of the day. At least, it wasn't snowing.

Cam heard the crinkle of grass as weight was placed onto the frozen glades. He turned his head slightly and grinned at his tired brother. The other's hair looked fluffier than normal with odd tuff's hanging here and there. Cam laughed softly. Well, it was earlier than what normal people get up at. After all, who in their right minds get up at 6 in the morning to see the sunrise? Well, besides the two of them anyways.
"Why...are you always out here so damn early?"[/i] Ehren had asked, yawning. Cam raised an eyebrow and jerked his head towards the sun. The air was warming more now, and Cam tugged at his sleeves. The teen turned to his older brother, then back towards the golden glowed gardens.
The leaves had begun to turn colors, settling in the trees in shades of orange, red, and yellow. There were some piles of dead and fallen leaves, littered with frost. But mostly, the gardens were still pretty green. Magic, Cam supposed. He also figured that magic was also the reason his mother's greenhouse was so very green all the time, even in the dead of winter.
"It's quiet and peaceful this early Ren," Cam answered. "In about 2 hours, people will start waking and this peace will be shattered. And when it shatters, people cannot see how lovely the world is around them," Yes. Cam was in one of his odd moods again.

"It's quiet and peaceful this early Ren," Cam answered. "In about 2 hours, people will start waking and this peace will be shattered. And when it shatters, people cannot see how lovely the world is around them,"
Ehren raised an eyebrow, the last bit of sleep beginning to leave his system. He looked out at the cold, golden-ish morning ground and shook his head, coming to a conclusion. "Cam, you're in one of your odd little moods again aren't you?" Ehren smiled and shook his head. He loved his little brother to bits but honestly, he was an oddball, and his moods made him too unpredictable.
Ehren shook his head again and looked out at the surrounding area. Cam may be in an odd little mood again, but he was right. It was really peaceful in the morning...when no one is screaming at one another or when charms, spells, and hexes go awry. It really was.
"Guess you're right Cam," he said finally. Ehren dropped onto the grass, ignoring the fact that he wa going to have some stains or that the frost was melting through his clothes. "A lil' nippy but never the less, peaceful enough to take a nap in," he yawned and was pretty sure that his brother was looking at him in amusement. Hey, it was early and he is sleepy.

"A lil' nippy but never the less, peaceful enough to take a nap in,"[/i] Cam raised an eyebrow and looked down as his brother leaned back onto the grass. He could see the frost melting already on his clothes. Typical Ehren. Somehow he reminded him of that one really tall 6th year Bravura; Frankie Cuzco. Although Ehren didn't sleep as much as the other did. Just when he needed to.
"Sleep there a little more Ren and I'm not going to tell mom and dad how you go sick," Cam drawled casually. He drew his wand, flicked a few stone seats into existance and sat down on one, propping his feet up on another one. "Besides, would it really matter or no if I'm in one of my funky moods? Couldn't I enjoy the sunrise anyways?" Hm...looks like he was getting out of his funky "watch the peace" mode.
The sun was peeking over the trees now and the air was warming much quicker. The world was waking as the light shined through the branches of the trees and through the glass of the nearby greenhouses. Cam was beginning to hear the birds chirping and the hum as magic filled the air. How fun, the school was waking as well. Dark brown eyes flickered towards the sky. Hm...it seemed almost 7 now.

Nick couldn't take it. It was too friggin early. Angrily, he flung aside his covers and screeched (in a somewhat manly way) at his dormmates. "DO YOU MIND!?! IT'S," here he paused and glanced towards his clock humming at his bed side table. Bright red numbers read [6:45] and Nick scowled. "NOT EVEN 7 YET! MUST YOU BE SO DAMN LOUD!?"
No one answered him and ticked, Nick grabbed his toiletries and stomped towards the bathroom. Yes, Nick was not a morning person. In fact, he liked his sleep. He liked his sleep alot. And when he doesn't get that sleep, you can expect him to be really grouchy. The teen finished his business in the bathroom quickly, ignoring the fact that his hair was fluffy and messed up and that his shirt was rumpled.
With a low growl and a dark glare at his dormmates, most of them grumbled back at him but one or two waggled their fingers in mockery, Nick stormed out. Then he went back and grabbed his shoes. Only he could forget his shoes walking out from the dorms.
Nick felt his anger ebb some as he walked and he sighed when the cold air in the halls made him shiver. He made his way out into the courtyards and the gardens. He immediately noticed who was there and he shook his head. Only the two of them were up at some god-forsaken early hour JUST TO WATCH THE SUN!
"Don't you ever get tired?!" Nick snapped, walking towards the two. His best friend Ehren Wong was lying on the ground and his other best friend Cam Wong was sitting on conjured rocks. "Most of the school isn't even up yet!" Yes...Nick was a very angry grouch in the morning.

Viv arose fairly early, it was surprising, something that she didn't usually do. She dressed something for pure comfort, assuming that most people wouldn't be awake to make judgments about her attire. Wearing a sweatshirt that was worn in. The sweatshirt bore the name of the quidditch team her father had been a part of, and had COLE written across the back. A pair of demin shorts completed her ensemble. Ignoring the fact that it was freezing outside, she chose a pair of red flipflops to match the sweatshirt, and wandered out of the common room to greet the day.
Not much happened on her long treck down to the grounds. It was indeed sunny outside, but not quite warm enough. She wandered towards the lake, but the sound of voices changed her direction, and she headed towards the gardens. Inside the grassy little courtyard, she saw three boys. None of whom she knew very well. Applying her customary dissonance smirk, she wandered over. "I hope I'm not intruding on your... gathering." Her tone suggested that she was intruding on something inappropriate.

Cam turned, hearing an annoyed snap and some crinkled grass. He blinked when Nick appeared, looking a little ruffled and then some. Cam smiled at the other, knowing that Nick was never great with waking up. He smiled slightly and waved, moving his feet so Nick could take a seat. He blinked again when he heard the other's words.
"Nope. Not tired at all," Cam turned his eyes towards his brother. "At least, I'm not. I think Ren's totally asleep though," Cam swept his hand towards his sleeping brother. He lightly kicked the older teen. "Oi! Lazy bum, get up. Nick's here,"
Cam tilted his head, hearing another person's approaching footsteps and he turned. A pretty girl was approaching them. She was clad in an worn sweatshirt so he wasn't sure which house she was in, but he was sure that she wasn't in his own house. She didn't seem like it. When she spoke, the tone and the ways she said it made his skin crawl.
"Excuse me?"

Ehren grunted softly as his brother's foot connected with his side. Of course he knew the Nick showed up. Who else would have that annoying snap, especially this early in the morning. He propped himself up on his arms and looked up at his best friend and his little brother. Cam had moved so the other could take a seat and Ehren raised an eyebrow at Nick's frumpled appearance.
"Forget where you placed your brush this morning?" Ehren commented cheekily. The other always had such a hard time waking up, even when he slept until almost noon. He remembered once when Nick had given the excuse that he had low blood pressure. Who knows. Well, his parents did but yeah.
"I hope I'm not intruding on your... gathering."[/i] There was something about the voice and Ehren frowned at the insinuation. He sat up fully and glanced up at the girl. She wasn't a member of his house and judging by the look on Cam's face, she wasn't a member of his either. By the way she spoke, she probably wasn't a soft-spoken Demmural either.
"And what exactly are you insinuating?" Ehren asked, voice cold and eyes glaring at her. He winced for a moment when he remembered that Nick was still in a grouchy mood.

Nick smiled in a slight mocking way as the two of them talked to him. Lucky them, they had no issues waking up in the morning. He did, always. And it was never pleasant for him. If he didn't have coffee or something, he was going to be very grouchy. Cam moved and Nick sat down, frowning slightly as the girl approached them. Hm...this wasn't going to be good.
"I hope I'm not intruding on your... gathering."
"Excuse me?"
"And what exactly are you insinuating?" [/i]
Now that wasn't good. Especially with her insinuations. He scowled. He knew exactly what she was insinuating. He figured that it was for her sick amusement. He slid his wand from his sleeve and leveled it with her. Judgement has gone out the window. Well, most of it and Nick tapped his wand to his arm, scowling.
"Do you need one to join? I know some desperate people," Nick drawled sarcastically.
[[Gah! My muse died half-way though **sobs** Anyways, here ya go. I may edit it later.]]

"And what exactly are you insinuating?" The girl arched one perfect eyebrow, her lips curving into an amused smile. "Insinuating? I don't know what you mean." She wandered closer to the boys, her flipflops making nearly no sound on the grass. She never allowed them to make the obnoxious noise that the shoes were named after. And that was very easy. She found her sleepy mind lapsed into a tangent, which was immediately broken when the last boy spoke. Dear god, they looked all the same. "Do you need one to join? I know some desperate people," Again, she arched a brow. "No, darling, I have no need of your.. assistance. But it's flattering that you would offer yourself like that." Oh dear, he wasn't being very nice to her. She was going to be perfectly rude back to him.
As for his wand that was drawn, well, she wasn't quite sure if he was going to try to hex her. But she was perfectly willing to find out, seeing as she had quite the arsenal of spells in her mind. Many of which probably weren't quite legal. "Oh, are we going to duel? You're going to defend your honor and whatnot?" She rolled her eyes at him, completely amused with his overzealous reaction to her simple statement. "I'm not interested in fighting you, sorry. Wouldn't be much of a fight anyways." She offered an angelic smile, at odds with her insulting words.

Cam winced the moment Nick pulled out his wand. He figured, with the way the girl looked, she was sleepy and to her they all looked rather the same. Which may have been why she seemed to be looking at him. Or maybe it was Nick. He was next to him anyways. If anything, she was addressing him. Cam reached over and tugged on the other's arm. "Nick, no dueling. Expulsion would be hard to explain to your parents,"
He turned and looked back at the girl and his brows furrowed. Maybe she was just sleepy? Well, either way, she rubbed off in an oddly wrong way on Ehren and Nick. Actually, her comment wasn't the greatest thing either. Well, there went his somewhat peaceful morning. If anything, both this new girl and Nick needed to wake up. Otherwise hexes and spells will be flying something awful.
"Er, perhaps we got off on the wrong foot?" Cam suggested. It sounded like an inquiry to his ears and he knew that Ehren and Nick would protest with a childish "She started it!"; it was so them.
[seems a lil' short. DX]

Ehren sat up fully, watching this girl with a slight frown. Judging by her appearance and Nick's response to her, she was not a demmural therefore she was a dissemblance. Why them? The two of them never, ever, got off on the right foot with Dissemblance students. He winced for a moment when he remembered the day in the library with Sarena Rockwell. That was the day both Nick and himself were close to being expelled for dueling...if they had thrown spells that is. And now, Nick was getting there. Geez, his best friend really needed to wake up.
"Nick, no dueling. Expulsion would be hard to explain to your parents,"[/i] Good adivce, now only if Nick was awake enough to understand him. Ehren pulled himself to his feet and walked towards his brother and friend, standing just behind Nick. The girl seemed rather sleepy, if not dazed and it seemed like she couldn't tell who was who between the three of them. Mum and Mrs. Richards always did say they looked alike, especially from the back.
"Er, perhaps we got off on the wrong foot?"[/i] Well, that was partially true but,
"It's kinda her fault ya know?" Ehren responded immediately. He could feel his brother's glare now. That was just a tad immature.

Nick scowled darker. He figured that he needed a cup of coffee, NOW. He continued to tap his wand, listening with only half an ear to the girl.
"Actually, I was thinking that some of the older students needed a baby-sitter for the younger students and they would absolutely LOVE you," Nick answered. Okay, that was a little mean. What if she traumatized the younger kids? He really needed that coffee. He was about to respond to her quip about dueling when there was a slight tug on his arm. Without looking back, he knew it was Cam, after all, Ehren was the kind of person to hit him, not tug on his arm.
He could hear the scold now, "Enough! If you don't friggin wake up Nick Richards, I will hex you!" Younger he may be, but Cam had a much larger repitore of curses than both Nick and Ehren put together. And so, he backed down somewhat. He never thought that he would be afraid of his childhood friend. Fun.
"Hey, she started it," Nick grumbed when he heard Cam's comment of Er, perhaps we got off on the wrong foot?"[/i] Nick stretched slightly, tightening his hold on his wand. "And she's got like two left feet. That's why we got off on the wrong foot." He knew that there was going to be a "And you're any better?" some time in his future.

"Actually, I was thinking that some of the older students needed a baby-sitter for the younger students and they would absolutely LOVE you," Viv arched a brow at the boy, realizing that he was trying to start a fight with her now. Well, she had certainly started it, but now she was going to play the innocent act. Widening her eyes, she pretended to pout. "You're being terribly rude, love. It really hurts my feelings." She was a good actress. A very good actress, with years of experience with living with a horrible bitch like her mother. Thinking for a moment, she realized she was probably being just bad as her mother. As soon as that thought cross her mind, she winced. No, not as bad as her mother. That would be impossible. Shaking her head, she listened to the most confrontational boy's little pathetic spiel. "And she's got like two left feet. That's why we got off on the wrong foot."
"I think you're confused." A double meaning to that, of course. It alluded back to her first words about their 'gathering.' "Really confused." There was a flash of a wicked smile, too quick to be noted by any, and her face went back to the oh-so-innocent angelic pout. "I don't know why you're being so mean." She furrowed her brows, but her eyes held the light of someone who was enjoying conflict.
