I FEEL YOU IN MY HEART, AND I DON"T EVEN KNOW YOU It was a lazy Saturday in October. The sun had been up almost the entire morning, and the air was warm, a touch of summer left in the air. Sky figured that it would be the end of all the heat, a summer's last goodbye sort of deal. So she did the most summery activity she could think of, she headed to the lake. Drinking, tanning, sleeping. Not necessarily in that order. She did know of a secluded spot, somewhere only a few people knew about. The sun touched there, and the water had been warm late into October the previous year. So Sky packed a tote full of the basics: a blanket, firewhiskey, a book, her ipod, and headed out of the dorm, greeting people as she headed down the corridor to the stairs. Down the stairs, then out the door, she found that many people were outside. A few people were wading in the lake, excitement at the bit of summer that seemed almost left over. The weather was odd at this campus, New England always seemed to surprise the populace with gifts of nice weather, and cursed it with bad weather. Winter seemed just around the corner, and Sky wasn't too pleased about that. Winter sucked, plain and simple.
Wearing an adorable navy jersey dress with a pair of perpetually lasting beatup flipflops, she headed down the path. There was a fight going on between some angry looking guy with a bad haircut and a guy that Sky knew to be a bully. Hmm, usually he picked his victims carefully, making sure that none of them had the confidence to fight back. Shrugging, she moved on, and headed towards her destination. When she reached the area, she spread the blanket out, glad for the thicket around her, and the privacy. The sun beat down on her from overhead, and she laid out on the blanket. She extracted her ipod, set the music settings on rock, pulled out her book and a bottle of drink. Some muggle band Black Sabbath blared from her headphones, and Sky lost herself in the world of Hamlet. She had already read about half of it, and had decided that she liked the crazy main character.

J.C x Sitting down in the fairly large Dissemblance Common Room, all the way at the back in a single chair positioned in the corner was Jonathan. The common room was a bit crowded today, he saw the same faces in there that he saw in the detention room yesterday. There were only Dissembrance students in Detention yesterday, Friday was his last day of detenion seeing that he had it for a whole week. As a matter of fact, if he remembered correctly there were only Dissemlance students there for the whole week that he was stuck in detention. Typical for the house, filled with cunning and rebellious students much like himself. Jonathan didn't feel like hearing too much noise today, he was kind of upset that summer was almost at its end and winter was soon approaching. Cold weather never went well with Jonathan.
He had a book in his hand trying to read but still absorbing the loud talking and laughter of his fellow housemates. Some might have asked the question; why couldn't he read or study in the library? Though Jonathan was very smart, he couldn't stand the Library. At times he liked silence but in the library was too much silence for him to handle, at this point he didn't know what he wanted. Jonathan then decided to step out of the school for a while and chill by the lake. He laid his book down on the chair and left the common room, soon after arrived at the lake.
Jonathan continued to walk, going to a spot that Skyler had onced brought him. Upon his arrival, he saw the same girl that showed him this area, Skylar Holland. Jonathan paused for a moment not knowing whether he should go up to her or turn around. This was because of his memory on what happened last week at a party and how the two drunkenly hooked up. He didn't know what she would think or say and didn't feel like dealing with negativety today. He then thought about a positive reaction from her, mabe things wouldn't turn awkward. Jonathan surely did have a big crush on her and hopefully nothing changed between them because of the events that took place a week ago.
Jonathan then snapped out of his little trans and walked up to her. "Um..hey Skylar" Jonathan said.

OH, LOVE, HOW COULD I? HOW COULD I FORGET. Somewhere in between the dramatic death of Hamlet's love and the death of Hamlet himself, Skylar had found herself feeling sleepy. She loved the book, but there was something in the air perhaps. Something that made her eyelids feel heavier, something that made her want to shut her eyes slowly and never open them. The music that had been blasting had faded off to some quiet piano music, and Ophelia's words rang in her head. Himself the primrose path of dalliance treads. / And recks not his own rede. What did that remind her of? Oh yes. Jonathon Christopher King. He was known to have a dalliance now and then. But Skylar Holland. Not at all. She kept sex to within relationships. Except when she was cheating on people like Nate.
But why she cheated, that was one thing that only she understood. She was simply not good at being close to people. Eventually someone got hurt, and it was always her fault. Her reasoning was that since they were going to end up getting hurt, why not spare them the wait. Thus was her reasoning when she spent those several nights with that faceless dissonance boy, just so he could brag about it to his friends, and so Nate could find out. She had truely adored Nate, afterall, she only dated boys that she actually liked, not just lusted after. Nothing could compare to the exquisite feeling of shame, remorse, mixed with love. Had it been love? He had implied that he had loved her. This whole thing was just another thing that she had confided in her friend J.C. He was trustworthy. She didn't feel to exposed around him, she knew there was no chance of going in far too deep with him, seeing as there was no way that he would like her. Besides, that thing with Nate. That was an entire year ago. As for J.C., Sky felt safe with him. She did like him, very much so. In a different way that she had liked Nate. But perhaps more, seeing as she was able to be honest with him, instead of lying.
But then again, what if her fucked up mind was trying to scare him away? Shaking her head to clear it, Skylar slowly opened her bright blue-green eyes. The sun was still high in the sky, everything was as is. The book had fallen shut, and she had fallen asleep on it's cover.
Deciding no longer to dwell on the things that made her feel apprehensive, she tried to convince herself that this incident with Jonathon was a one time thing. He might even forget it. She wasn't much to him, just an adoptive cousin. Family. That word repulsed her. If she liked him more than a friend, and he was family, that would be wrong. No, she preferred to think of him as a friend, albiet, one that her family all knew.
Then, as if she had brought him to the glen with the power of thinking about him, she heard his voice a few steps behind her. "Um..hey Skylar" The tone in his voice, the falter, suddenly Skylar felt completely exposed. Like something was going to have to be settled here and now, like she would have to address the issue of sleeping with him. "Jonathon." She purred, by way of greeting, Glancing up at him through thick, black lashes, she offered a smile, trying to calm her shaky nerves. It was so weird not being able to get up and hug him. So weird, in fact, that she ignored the impulse to stay away from him, and stood up slowly, stretching luxuriously. The blonde took a few steps and encased him in a tight embrace, a friendly hug, she told herself. "How've you been?" She let go, but didn't move away from him. Instead, she stood there looking up at his handsome face waiting for a reply.
