Ehren wasn't one to skip classes but oddly enough, he wasn't in the mood today. In fact, he wasn't in any mood to head to any of his classses. Sowhat brought him to where he currently is. He was hiding in a small alcove somewhere in the hall junction between the library and the History of Magic classroom. At the very least, Ehren didn't seem to have a lot of classes today.
But, like all Luminosity Brains, he had a book with him. Currently, the book was propped open in his lap, his feet resting on the wall in front of him and his back pressed to the other wall. Ehren was trying to read it but alas, he didn't think it was working. After all, Muggle Physics didn't appeal much to him. He figured that Cam would like it more. After all, his little brother loved Chemistry, but hated Potions, which was fairly similar. That always amused him. That Cam would like Chemistry but hated Potions.
The teen sighed and stretched his legs some before looking down at the floor. He figured he was some feet up, probably 8 or 9 up into the ledge/alcove. Unless people were actually looking for him, they probably wouldn't notice him. If anything, he was hoping that none of the professors would notice him. Ehren was skipping class after all. Actually, he didn't want Nick to find him either. It would give Nick grounds to give him crap about skipping...but it wasn't like the other hadn't done it before. Ehren's eyes jerked towards the ground when he heard footsteps and he shrank a little further into the shadows. Again, unless they were looking up, they probably wouldn't find him.
Ehren snorted for a moment, remembering a quote he read before, "Why is it that when someone enters a room, the look left and right but never up?"

Rustling. Hannah could hear rustling on the roof.
Now, this wasn't a typical sound in the Institute. Was it one of those traps that she had set earlier, moving to dump water on her face or something? Or was there . . . a person! Hannah'd glanced up for a short second and seen two legs. "Hello?" she called, eyes scanning the area again. Perhaps she hadn't seen it properly, but there was the rustling. Most of the portraits around her were sleeping or doing something that wouldn't rustle; but she had seen something move. Wondering how whoever the person was had gotten up, she glanced along the walls. There was a statue that she could barely reach, and judging by the thickness of the legs it was a guy, probably older and taller. He could have easily reached the statue and climbed up it.
Hannah took a deep breath in, jumping and pulling herself up to the ledge. A couple portraits around her turned to look-- she could feel their gazes and hear their soft muttering. Now why, exactly, was she skipping class? She'd never liked Herbology, the class that she was due to be at. Even though Hannah hated being late, she'd always made an exception for classes.
Putting her hand around the statue's head, which she could barely reach, she lifted her right leg and hitched it on one of the thing's boots. When she lifted the other leg, though, it wobbled toward the edge of the ledge. Hannah quickly reached her hand up and snagged the side of the wall, her fingers about five feet from Ehren. Her foot was pulled off the boot and, as there was too much pressure on the back of the statue pushing it forward, it neared the ledge a bit more than she wanted it to. Then, as she pushed herself up a tiny bit more to get a better grip, it tumbled off.
"Shit!" Hannah'd barely managed to pull herself all the way up when it fell. Flinching as each part of it broke, she pulled back into the shadows and glared at Ehren. "Thanks for the help," she hissed sarcastically.
[ haha. just had to do Herbology xD ]

Ehren blinked when he heard the footsteps. As much as he shrank back, he leaned forward the same amount, therefore his hiding wasn't great. He blinked down, tilted his head as he watched the girl. She was an unfamiliar face, someone he didn't know. But probably younger than him, if he'd never seen her before. He held back an amused smile as she attempted to scramble up to where he was. Didn't seem to work so well. He continued to watch, amused and he came to the conclusion that maybe if she couldn't get up, she should stay down. After all, the less he got noticed the better.
"You looked like you were having so much fun on your own I didn't want to interrupt," he drawled sarcastically and in amusement. "Congratulations for managing to get up here without doin' much damage to yourself lass,"
Now that she was much closer, he realized that he really didn't know this girl. Pretty though she was, maybe with an aura of trouble or something? Something that Ehren associated with the two of the many school's dissemblance students that he met, Sarena Rockwell and Vivienne Cole. He was on okay terms with Sarena but with Viv, they hadn't gotten off on the right foot. Not at all. Turning back to the girl, he jerked his head slightly towards the halls.
"Which class are you skipping today lass?"

"You looked like you were having so much fun on your own I didn't want to interrupt. Congratulations for managing to get up here without doin' much damage to yourself lass. Which class are you skipping today lass?"
"Shut up," Hannah said, frowning. "I'll get one of my friends to fix that statue, thanks. Or you can, if you'd like. And quit that 'lass' crap-- I'm not as fragile as I look. I'm skipping Herbology today; after I tossed that firecracker I'm not sure I want to see her, anyway. Didn't your little friend get blamed for that? I think we have the same Herbology class, not sure though. I'm Hannah." Not sure what kind of greeting he'd like, she didn't offer her hand or anything. Hannah internally sighed, wondering if she would ever fully understand guys. Why did they shake hands? That could get a ton of disgusting germs transferred and might give you a disease. They always did.
Then again, guys weren't as germaphobic as most girls. They wouldn't be as scared of getting sick as she herself was; although, it was more of a dislike than a fear. Dusting off her hands, she glanced at her nails. Ew, something had gotten beneath one of them. Either that or it was one of the chips of nail polish that had come off in her desperate climb. She'd have to fix that later.
[ fail. after all, I did just write that whole chapter xD ]

Firecracker?! Ehren looked sharply at her, eyes narrowed slightly. She was the one that caused him, Ashes, Grace (for a brief moment) and Nick to spend an entire morning in the greenhouse facing those..those things?! It was this-this girl's fault? Well, like Cam always said, you learn something new everyday. Just that he didn't know what to do with this one. If he hexed her, she would fall from the ledge and possibly bust her head open on the stone floor. As appealing as the dark half of his brain exclaimed to him, he didn't want to be expelled so soon.
"Yes. Nick was blamed for that," Ehren was surprised that his voice was so steady. He nodded jerkily to her greeting but didn't extend his hand. He normally did but he figured that this time, this was an exception. Really it was. His eyebrows raised in amusement as she glanced down at her nails and looked almost disappointed/disgusted. Ehren figured that she had either chipped a nail or gotten something utterly gross underneath them. He looked down at his own nails. Short and clean, like his mother wanted. He shook his head, a slight smile crossing his lips.
Ehren looked from her towards the broken statue on the ground. Well, that was going to draw loads of attention. He drew his wand and aimed it at the ground, mentally saying the spell. He watched as the pieces flew back together, pleased that his spell worked, despite the slight anger/annoyance bubbling in his gut. Hm, she just gave him her name.
"Ehren," he said shortly. "The name's Ehren,"

"Yes. Nick was blamed for that. Ehren. The name's Ehren."
[/i] "Nice to meet you. Sorry about your friend Nick, my friend actually dared me to do it. I didn't realize she'd suspect it was a harmless Demurral, if you know what I mean." Hannah shrugged, using another one of her fingers to pull out the dark blue thing. Rolling her eyes when she realized it was a chip of the nail polish she had applied earlier that morning, she flicked it away, watching as he fixed the statue. "You know, you didn't have to do that. I could've myself. But thanks," she murmured, raising an eyebrow. The ground was maybe ten feet below them and she didn't want to risk breaking the statue again on her way down. She'd probably be forced to swing down from the rafters. Glancing around, she frowned when she noticed a couple cobwebs. "We may be on the roof, but they could at least keep it cleaner up here. I mean, everyone does know magic." Hannah didn't really feel the need to clean it up, though, probably because she still couldn't see any spiders. "Lil' cobwebs don't bother me," Ehren said with a shrug. He snorted for a moment when he heard Hannah's comment about "harmless Demmural". "Trust me, you don't want to know what Nick would do if he found out that it was you who caused him to get detention...and to wrestled with that blasted plant."
Ehren paused for a moment and thought about the detention...that Nick was probably still serving. 7 more days of blasted detention cleaning the damned greenhouse full of plants that was again, trying to kill him...still. Geez, he felt sorry for his friend. No wait...Professor Jenkins didn't trust him with her plants anymore. What was it...ah. Now he remembered. Homework. She was making him a lot more homework. Still detention. Actually, the 7 more days of detention wasn't exactly Nick's fault. After all, the plant started it.
"Magic we may have but still. It's not a big deal to deal with some dust. Just brush your self off later or something," Ehren shrugged.
