Skylar had enough of the seriousness of the other students at the academy. In fact, they were driving her crazy. She didn't give a shit about some test that was coming up, she just needed to unwind. Taking a deep breath, she dressed for the occasion in the comfort of her room. At first, the scent of the dorm seemed normal. Then there was a hint of cinnamon. Ew, Sky loathed the smell of cinnamon. Following the scent, she discovered a candle with that smell under her roommate's bed. They had promised not to have candles-- because apparently roomie was allergic to a ton of different things, and she didn't like swelling up like a balloon on steroids. As for Sky... well, she didn't like the nasty spicy scent in her room-- she'd have to fumigate if the candle got lit. One way to solve that problem, Sky smiled. Then turned to the window, opened it, and pitched the candle out. There was a scream, and Sky just laugh, pulled the window shut, and ran out of the room-- not wanting to be caught by whomever that candle had almost hit. She didn't even think about what she was wearing until she was almost down the stairs.
Wearing a black slip, bought at the wizarding weardrobe, and strappy sandals. Well, the slip looked enough like a dress to pass the public test. Not that Sky really cared what people thought of her dressing. Laughing at the short length of the "dress", she sauntered down the stairs, drawing stares from the lone student who was headed from the library back to the common room. Sky winked at him, and continued on her journey towards the door.
The night air hit her as she pushed open the wood doors with her whole body. Her tiny five foot two frame had to put all it's effort into moving the large oak doors, but was eventually successful. She took a long breath of the night air, inhaling the scent of pine from the forest, the faint scent of burning leaves, and the crisp air of almost winter. Smiling to herself, she headed down the path to the little village. She had already texted Sarena, but hadn't seen her on her way out. Sky was usually late, but tonight, since it had been her idea, she was going to get there first. Where she was headed was a certainly seedy place. But it served alcohol-- which was what she wanted-- and on mondays there were often a lot of hot younger business type guys who went there, because the snakes slither had some weird special that supposedly attracted a lot of single ladies.
Sky wasn't interested in a man. Nor a relationship-- she shunned relationships. It takes talent to be in a relationship, and she didn't possess that talent. Whatever, it wasn't like she was going to be lonely. You didn't need to be in a relationship to be around a sexy guy, right?
The pretty blonde pushed the door to the bar/restaurant open, a charming little bell sounding as it opened completely. She sauntered over to her usual spot located a good distance from the bar, and far back from the door-- just in case a teacher happened to wander into the building on accident. A few guys looked at her, but that wasn't just because of the slip. She had worn more and gotten just as many smiles, winks, and free drinks. She pushed the chair out, sat down, and read the new text from Rena. Confident that her best friend would be there soon, she flagged the waiter and ordered a really girly mixed drink. Those got her drunk fast-- it was the sugar.

As Rena stared at herself in her full-length mirror, she couldn't help the smile that was permanently etched on her pretty face. Ever since she had become a couple with Aiden, life was perfect, and she was always happy, no matter what. They were just so perfect; childhood friends turned lovers. It was a perfect love story, which would definitely have a happy ending.
She wanted to look good tonight, for herself, not for the guy attention. Guys needed to know she was a taken woman; she wasn't even interested in flirting with anyone. Well, while she was still sober that is. She could make no promises once she had some firewhiskey in her system.
Tonight she decided to change it up a bit; instead of her hair totally loose, she twisted it up into a fancy messy bun, with a few strands down here and there. Her make-up was the usual; smokey eyes and slightly colored lips. Walking over to her closet, she chose an elegant yet young emerald green dress. It was a halter, and came to her knee. It was pretty and the farthest thing from slutty.
Once she was done working on her appearance, she grabbed her black clutch and threw on black ballet flats. She was about to leave her dorm, when she heard somebody scream outside. She ran back over to her window and looked down at the grounds. A group of fourth years who appeared to have been sneaking out looked like that had been hit with something falling out of one of the floors above Rena, which would happen to be the 6th year girls dorm. Smirking, she double checked her appearance before she left her dorm.
Strolling the halls being as quiet as she could, Rena had a minor set back when she had to hide behind a statue as two professors walked slowly past, talking about stupid grading methods. Sarena really had to restrain herself from telling them to hurry the hell up, because she was now late for meeting sky.
When she finally found herself at the large wooden doors, she pushed with all her might to open them. She, like Sky, was short and thin, and not exactly the strongest person. She smiled contently when she was greeted by the almost-winterly breeze; christmas was Rena's favorite. I mean, who doesn't love presents?
Picking up her pace a little, she began to make her way down the path to the Snakes Slither, where her best friend had told her to meet up with her. She entered the bar with a DING! from the little bell, and male heads turned and gave her appreciative glances. She ignored them, however, because she was a taken woman now.
Eying the blonde in her usual spot, she made her way over to her. Sky already had some fruity drink in front of her. Rena took a seat next to her best friend and ordered a firewhiskey. "Sky, I am compleley and utterly head over heels in love." she sighed.

"Sky, I am compleley and utterly head over heels in love." Skylar didn't even look up when she heard her friend's voice, instead, she smiled to herself. She had heard gossip about the couple of Sarena and Aiden, and was wondering when she'd actually hear it from the source. But then again, Sky had always had a feeling that she was crushing on Aiden-- now it had materialized, and she was very pleased that her friend now had such a great boyfriend. "You two are perfect for each other," Sky told her friend with a smile-- skipping over the 'who is he' deal. Since she already knew, might as well save time for more juicy details. "Everyone's talking about it," Sky giggled, and took a sip of her fruity drink.
"Makes me want to go find a man," but Sky was joking. She had never been good with relationships. In fact, they hadn't ever lasted very long-- mostly because of her. The pretty blond idly wondered where J.C. had been lately. She missed him.
DAMMIT. Why must she dwell on such sad things when she was supposed to be having a party-hearty girl's night out? Shaking her head, she smiled at Rena. "We need to get you a drink." Waving a waiter over, she offered a flirtatious smile. "Get this lady a drink..." Sky winked at a pair of guys sitting at the bar, and did her usual hair flip and slight wave towards them. "And put it on their tab." An amused smile touched the waiter's lips, and he nodded, and he leaned in conspiratorially, "Perhaps you lovely ladies would like some food as well?" This time, Sky actually laughed aloud. "Oh sure. Bring us some fries or something. Whatever you think is good."
Turning back to Rena, Sky smiled. "Don't you just love being young and hot?"

Rena chuckled appreciatively as Sky worked the room, getting them free drinks and even free fries. Not that they were Rena's favorite, but she would eat them anyway. She loved how Sky could get anything she wanted, just like that. She enjoyed the blonde complimenting her on her relationship with Aiden. He really was just so perfect.
"Don't you just love being young and hot?". Rena smiled. "Of course, Sky, how else would we get our free drinks?" she said, as the waiter brought her over her shot of firewhiskey. She downed it in one sip and enjoyed the burning sensation as it went down her esophagus.
On a whim, she stood up, smiling at the cute group of guys down the bar a little ways. She stood up on her stool with grace. "Hey! Any guy who thinks this girl I'm with is hott should buy us a round of drinks!" she yelled, then stepped down from her perch. Before she could even say something to Sky, the waiter had already brough the pair two drinks, courtesy of one of the guys in the group not to far away.
"This is going to be a good night!" she said to the blonde, sipping one of the complimentary drinks. It was pink and sugary; not Sarena's first choice, but delicious nonetheless.

"Hey! Any guy who thinks this girl I'm with is hott should buy us a round of drinks!" Sky had to laugh at that one. It was so easy to get free stuff around here, she thought to herself as a round of drinks were brought to their table. Sky accepted another fruity drink with a smile and a wink to the guy that brought over the drink. "Thanks, love." Her attentions, however, were short on the guy, and she quickly turned her blue eyes to her best friend. "Thisis going to be a good night!" Lips curving into a smile, the pretty blonde nodded. "Obviously. Free booze, hot guys, what else do we need?" Another smile, and she stretched leisurely. Several guys watched her stretch, several others watched Rena. They were obviously the hottest girls in the room, and Sky basked in the attention that they were receiving.
"So tell me about Aiden. I heard you two are dating now-- when'd he ask you out? And how'd he do it? Have you slept with him yet?" Obviously probing questions, but Sky and Rena were close-- so she was allowed to ask those sorts of questions. It was her way of living vicariously through her friend-- because Sky would never risk a friendship by turning it into a relationship. Which was part of the reason why she refused to sleep with J.C. Well, you did. And you made a bit mistake by doing so. Her own mind infuriated her, so she turned her attention back to rena.

Rena did the best she could to ignore the male attention. Yes, she and her best friend were probably the prettiest girls there; she could tell as a group of obviously pissed off girls left the bar in a huff, jealous of the attention hogging duo. But it wasn't their fault if guys found them attractive. She continued to sip the girly drink, slightly disgusted at the amount of sugar in it.
"So tell me about Aiden. I heard you two are dating now-- when'd he ask you out? And how'd he do it? Have you slept with him yet?" Sarena chuckled at the several questions her best friend asked her in a row. "He asked me out a few days ago. It was really cute actually, he texted me and asked me to meet him in the gardens, and it was such a pretty night. And then he just told me that he always loved me, and I told him I felt the same. Then he asked me to be his girlfriend, and of course I said yes." she sighed, smiling at the thought of that night. "And no, I haven't slept with him. I don't want to for a while. We just started dating, and I wan't to take things slow. He's a gentleman, he understands of course."

Rena seemed to be recoiling from the attention a little bit, and Sky was curious to know why. Her friend was always the more people-person type, so long as the other person was a pureblood. But now she seemed a little bit withdrawn at the attention, and Sky felt a little bit confused. Pushing that away, she watched as her friend winced as she drank. Smiling in amusement, Sky waved the waiter over. "How about some real drinks. Scotch, on the rocks." Arching a brow at her best friend, she asked her a question. "Ren, what do you want? That drink is so obviously not your type."
"He asked me out a few days ago. It was really cute actually, he texted me and asked me to meet him in the gardens, and it was such a pretty night. And then he just told me that he always loved me, and I told him I felt the same. Then he asked me to be his girlfriend, and of course I said yes." Sky smiled. Her friend was in love, and it was adorable. "And no, I haven't slept with him. I don't want to for a while. We just started dating, and I wan't to take things slow. He's a gentleman, he understands of course." Again, adorable. But wasn't there something about Eric? Ren and eric had slept together, it was the start of their relationship. When had that ever died off. God, she had been so out of touch with her best friend that she hadn't ever heard about a breakup. That's what you get, Sky told herself, when you worry about a guy. Spend time with a guy. Sleep with a guy. Oh yes, Sky was going to have to tell Rena about J.C.
"That's adorable!" Sky told her friend, still unsure about the allure of a relationship. Sky preferred to be free. A few seconds passed and Sky tried to think about how to explain the J.C. situation to her.
"You remember Jonathan, right?"
