"Sometime when I don't have a million exams to study for." she said, trying not to think of the pile of homework she had waiting for her back in her dormitory; the seventh year coursework was surprisingly more intense than she had thought.
Sarena then had a thought; a curious one. Had that meant Jude had killed people? Was it really hard to control thirst? Did blood taste good? She wanted to ask him all of these things, but didn't think she should all at once. "Have you ever turned anyone into a vampire?"

"Sure...you let me know when your free and I'll set it up..." He told her with a shrugg. Jude could work around his own school work and he wasn't worried about it. Though he had a few lessons, he was generally caught up. He was good at all this sort of thing, and had plenty of time to study. Besides, he was to OCD to let it go for long. Getting behind wasn't something he could even fathom, let alone alow.
That wasn't all she wanted to ask him. He could practically see the curiosity simmering in her gaze and it hovered around her like an aura or a second skin. But he didn't make it a point to tell her that. Rather he let the questions come as they wanted to. "No....I couldn't. I'm only a half blood right now...If that changed, and I found someone I wanted to gift with it, I would be able to..."
His father had changed someone. A servant, just before Jude's mother passed away. And his uncle had changed his wife. However, she didn't survive it and went insane. Not everyone was meant for that kind of life; those vampires were the ones that were hunted down. Though most wizards and witches couldn't differentiate between a rogue and a regular vampire.

"Oh...." she said, trying to hide her dissapointment. She had, for a second, hoped maybe, possibly, one day, if he were capable, he could change her. But that was a big decision; something she had pondered for a while. It just seemed so cool to her.
"Is...is it hard to restrain yourself from...you know...eating people around you?" she asked akwardly, knowing that it would be an odd question for some random muggle to hear.

"I'd change you..." He told her quietly, "If I could and I thought you'd thought the decision through." Vampirism was something that wasn't simply dished out. It was a gift, and a curse all at once. And he would have recommended she spend alot more time with a vampire before making a decision like that. Not to mention, she'd have a very close bond with the sire. As it were, it wasn't something other wizards and witches would readily accept.
The next question however, made him blink, before a low chuckle left him. Amusement, coloring his voice when he spoke again, "Vampires don't eat people...at least those that haven't gone rogue...." He sat back and considered the question, understanding its context anyway. "Sometimes. When I see someone with an open cut and I can smell the fresh blood, or during certain times of the month according to moon cycle. There are a few other times, when it happens, but honestly...I've been controling myself long enough its not that big of a deal..."
Jude tugged long fingers through his hair, "I take potions...to control cravings, and keep my anemia from getting out of hand...They don't always work, but they help..." At some point, he'd have to start purchasing donated blood somewhere. It wasn't hard to get ahold of, and it wasn't expensive.

"Could...your uncle do it? I mean, hypothetically." she asked. It was a big decision; something she would have to think about. It would take months, maybe even a year before she could make a definite decision. She would spend more time with Jude; obviously if their friendship stayed stong, which she felt it would. She could observe his behaviors and cravings and see if she had what it takes. Their was just something so mysterious and beautiful about vampires.
"Does....blood taste good?"

"Yes...my uncle could do it. But you'll have to remember, you'd have a strong bond with your sire if you can handle the change. It'd basically make you family..." That was the best way to describe it. The bond was a very powerful thing, and if you weren't ready to be tied to someone for ever then you didn't need to go through with it. Jude was a rare case; he would finish converting over on his own when he personally was ready for it. Not that it'd be much change physically.
He wasn't at all surprised with the next question. "Yes...it does for the most part. At least to anyone with vampire blood. Everyone has a unique taste, but its much the same as if you were sampling food. Some people are unappealing and bitter, it all just really depends on the person." It was an odd topic to carry on, even silenced, in the middle of the cafeteria. But at least no one could hear them. And he was honest with his answers.
"I've never killed anyone like that. Drinking is...ah...its very intimate...I've only drank from someone twice." He shrugged; Jude's trust issues had gotten in the way thus far of everything. "Death can and does happen. Some get a thrill from it, while others refuse to kill there food source and potential companions. It just depends on the vampire..." Humans in general, were sometimes thought of as cattle. His father had that mindset.
